Here’s an update on iRacing’s Miami International Autodrome recreation

It’s just a few screens, but they are new and show the progress of digitising the stadium-surrounding venue for the simulation.

The Miami International Autodrome is heading to iRacing, but we’ve known that since November 2024.

However, aside from some very early development blog images last year, little has been showcased since.

While the popular sim racing platform claims that its development team is working on Mexico City’s Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez “most intensely”, it did provide a brief look at a more advanced-stage Hard Rock Stadium car park track too.

Part of a development update video – which is a visual version of a written blog post first published in May – includes three scenes at the venue created in 2022 for Formula 1.

Since then, some changes have been made so that elements of it can be used as a permanent track, through shorter layouts. These have started to be used for private track days, and for 2026, it will be home to Formula E’s Miami E-Prix.

The iRacing footage showcases a detailed rendition of the skyline-dominating stadium, home to the Miami Dolphins, and then, from an aerial shot, the access roads needed to create the alternative layout options.

The fake marina looks to be on the to-do list at this work-in-progress stage.

“We updated our Miami data now that the Grand Prix has had its May race buildup and are working through transforming the facility to more accurately represent race day,” said Senior Vice President and Executive Producer at iRacing, Greg Hill, last month.

There’s no formal release window for the circuit yet, although the next content drop for iRacing will be in September, followed by December.
