Another typically idiosyncratic game update with three varied new vehicles is about to hit Gran Turismo 7.
As is the formula, most of the time, Series Producer Kazunori Yamauchi has shared to social media a shadowy teaser image.
“Update coming next week” is the sole caption.
Despite the obfuscation, we think we know what these cars are, and it’s not the recently announced Xiaomi SU7 Ultra or teased Fiat Panda.
Citroën BX
The late, great, Marcello Gandini designed the Lamborghini Miura, the Lancia Stratos and… the Citroën BX.
But, try not to laugh so hard – unlike the other French car in this update (more, below), the BX was an interesting car in its time.

Introduced in 1982, and produced well into the 1990s, it featured the self-levelling hydropneumatic suspension, seen in the likes of the classic Citroën DS forbearer. Disc brakes all-round were a novelty for the time, too.
Speed, though – not a forte, although there were zesty GTi and 16v models, a 4×4 variant and even a Group B (4TC) homologation special. This looks like a plain hatchback version, however, from the silhouette, by dint of a shallow bumper and lack of rear spoiler.

Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evolution rally
The Citroën may not be a performance model, but it is at least culturally significant for the French automobile industry. This Lancia Delta, however, is both significant and fast.

The road-going edition of this model is already in Gran Turismo 7 – the Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione from 1991 – and now this is the rally edition.
Thanks to the wide stance, rear mud flaps, small wing mirrors and large rear spoiler, we think this is the final rally evolution model (nicknamed the Deltona) used to snatch the 1992 World Rally Championship teams’ title.

This car was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro, who recently visited Gran Turismo 7 developer Polyphony Digital.
Peugeot 2008
Recently, several SUV models have been added to Gran Turismo 7 – from the Mazda CX-30, to the Toyota CH-R and most recently, the hybrid Honda CR-V.

Now it’s the turn of a European humdrum crossover, with what we think is the second-generation (and current) Peugeot 2008.
No, not a spicy 308 GTI, nor the 2008 Dakar rally raid beast. Just a normal 2008 compact family car.
The propulsion method is hard to spot from this teaser image, but it’s either a 1.2-litre turbo petrol, a 1.5-litre turbo diesel or an all-electric powertrain.

You’re excited for this one, aren’t you? I can tell…
Gran Turismo 7 June 2025 update release date
We expect the release of the next Gran Turismo 7 game update for PS4 and PS5 to land on Thursday, 26th June – however, this is just an estimate and has not been confirmed.
