Assetto Corsa Competizione – the official game of the GT World Challenge – will be free-to-play over the entirety of this weekend on Xbox.
The game is best known for its depiction of GT3 racing, simulating recognisable supercars and sportscars as they race head-to-head around the most popular and diverse circuits in the world.
Although DLC will not be playable unless purchased, the base version of Assetto Corsa Competizione – ported to consoles by Untold Games – still boasts 11 tracks and over 20 cars, with stupendous sound design and realistic physics providing arguably the best GT3 sim experience available today.
Although Assetto Corsa Competizione (ACC) on console has had a troubled time, including the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions ceasing development at an early stage, the game remains popular with its loyal fanbase – especially after the recent release of its v1.9 update.
For more information on ACC’s transition from PC to console, check out our Traxion.GG podcast episode with Ben McConneill of publisher 505 Games (below).
Free access to ACC on Xbox begins at 09:00 PST / 17:00 BST / 18:00 CEST today (13th July 2023), and runs all the way until the 16th of July. You can access it by heading over to its listing on the Xbox Games Store.
