Internet retail giant Amazon has today (16th June 2022) unveiled a list of games Prime members can download and keep forever on 12th-13th July as part of Amazon’s yearly Prime Day.

One notable example is Codemasters’ most recent entry in the GRID franchise of racing games, GRID Legends, a game we described as being “a fun romp that can deliver some edge-of-your-seat thrills and a satisfying driving experience” in our February review.

Amazon Prime is a subscription-based service that allows members free unlimited fast shipping on goods ordered from Amazon and its affiliates, access to HD movies and TV shows via Prime Video, as well as the opportunity to listen to two million songs on Amazon Music.

The service allows allows users to read around a thousand books or magazines via its Prime Reading offering.

For gamers, Amazon Prime membership also grants Twitch members the ability to freely subscribe to their favourite streamer up to a value of $4.99 per month, including a free crown chat badge and exclusive Twitch chat colours and emotes.

As well as GRID Legends, Need for Speed Heat will also be available to download and keep during Prime Day, with other top titles on offer including Mass Effect Legendary Edition and a range of retro Star Wars games. Prime Gaming covers PC, PlayStation and Xbox users, with full compatibility details available on the Prime Gaming website.

From 21st June, Prime members can download these games in preparation for Prime Day on the 12th of July. Prime Gaming features a rolling list of games every month, with the likes of WRC8 and Two Point Hospital temporarily available to download and keep now, as well as other DLC and loot packs.

Amazon Prime costs £7.99/$14.99/€7.99 per month. A 30-day free trial is also available where gamers can download the below list of games and keep them forever. The free trial can be cancelled at any time, but will revert to the above subscription pricing after 30 days.
