The Gran Turismo World Series makes its United Kingdom debut, and the first Gran Turismo event in the nation since a Gran Turismo Sport launch event, this coming weekend.
On Saturday, 7th June 2025, the pinnacle of competitive championships for Polyphony Digital’s racing game will visit the BBC Studioworks for two back-to-back, live, LAN race events.
First, there’s the Manufacturers Cup, a series where a three-driver squad compete for a car manufacturer with the only goal being a teams’ championship. Then there’s the solo competition, or drivers’ championship, in the form of the Nations Cup.
There will be four live events throughout the year, with results at each providing points, and then at the end of the year in December, champions will be crowned at the World Finals.

In-game rewards
You could also benefit from in-game Gran Turismo 7 rewards. Before the first broadcast starts on Saturday, simply load the game on PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5, and on the main home screen, top right, you will see some banners.
Click on there, and for the Predict the Winners, vote for who you think will win both the Manufacturers Cup and Nations Cup races. If you get them right, there’s 1,000,000 in-game credits up for grabs.
Then, there’s the Viewer’s Gift Campaign. Simply click on this after the broadcast has started to watch the event from within the game. Doing so before 23rd June (08:59 UTC) will earn you one Gr.3 car and one Aston Martin Valkyrie in-game as a prize. Easy, and if you already have these vehicles, you can sell them for credits in the used car dealership.
Driver lineup
The lineup for the Nations Cup remains the same all through the year, a roster decided by a combination of last year’s results and an in-game qualification process, now complete.
The Manufacturers Cup drivers and teams have also been decided through qualifying, and while each squad’s drivers have already been selected, which of the three appears at each round changes.
Each team will send one different driver to each of the first three live events, before all three team up in a multi-driver race at the World Finals.
