The Gran Turismo World Series makes its United Kingdom debut, and the first Gran Turismo event in the nation since a Gran Turismo Sport launch event, this coming weekend.

On Saturday, 7th June 2025, the pinnacle of competitive championships for Polyphony Digital’s racing game will visit the BBC Studioworks for two back-to-back, live, LAN race events.

First, there’s the Manufacturers Cup, a series where a three-driver squad compete for a car manufacturer with the only goal being a teams’ championship. Then there’s the solo competition, or drivers’ championship, in the form of the Nations Cup.

There will be four live events throughout the year, with results at each providing points, and then at the end of the year in December, champions will be crowned at the World Finals.

Last year, Lexus won the Manufacturers Cup and Japan, Takuma Miyazono, the Nations Cup. There is no adjacent Toyota Gazoo Racing GT Cup competition this season, won in 2024 by José Serrano.

At this event, there is also expected to be an announcement related to a Xiaomi partnership, too.
