Gran Turismo 7's next update lands 21st February with PSVR2 support

The next Gran Turismo 7 update, 1.29, will land on Tuesday 21st February 2023 and with it, the ability to play (nearly) the entire game in virtual reality with PSVR2.

The more attentive of you will already know that the driving game will support the new headset upon its launch, with units shipping from the 22nd February. Developers Polyphony Digital will push out the update one day ahead of then, so those lucky few can play straight away once their device arrives.

With the news comes the first look at the VR Showroom mode – something we tried during our hands-on preview but wasn’t able to capture footage of at the time. Here you can place any car among 12 interactive backdrops.

While the PSVR2 support is the main ticket item, since its launch in March 2022, the game has received monthly content updates, be it new cars, tracks or races to enter. This did not happen in January, the first omission in nearly a year.

Will the 1.29 update also include more content alongside virtual reality? We hope to find out soon.
