A brand new formula-style race car will be added to Gran Turismo 7 and has been unveiled in Amsterdam at the World Series World Finals.
The F3500-A will be a naturally aspirated V12, and while it isn’t a specific real-world model, it looks to have been inspired by racers of the 1990s.
The specs include an engine mounted in the middle with 784bhp, weighing just 505kg with a performance point rating of around 984pp – according to the stats used at the World Series event, at least.
The engine screams all the way up to 14,500rpm. The sound is shrill, with sparks flying as the chassis scrapes the track surface.
Presently, GT7 has the Gran Turismo F1500T-A, a fictional turbocharged open-wheeler, harking back to Formula 1 cars in the 1980s.
2013’s Gran Turismo 6 had the Formula Gran Turismo, which also used a V12 engine for nearly 900bhp. It appeared in other Gran Turismo tiles too, starting with Gran Turismo 5.
There’s no specific date for the next game update yet, but January’s will include Hyundai’s enthusiast electric car, the Ioniq 5 N.
