You’re looking at Hyundai’s Ioniq 5 N within Gran Turismo 7.
Although it was not part of the recent game update, it is anticipated that it will appear for players soon.
This coming weekend, 7th-8th December, will be the World Finals for the Gran Turismo World Series and the barn-storming electric crossover will be used, in-game, for a qualifying round.
Think of it as a teaser before those at home will be able to access the car through an update slated for January 2025.
GT7 drivers can also pick it up for zero in-game credits, simply by watching the World Finals event in-game, either live or for a limited period after it is run. This is part of a ‘viewers campaign’ which can be found on the main game home screen.
In the real world, the 5 N has a mode that simulates paddle-shift gear changes and engine noise. Makes us wonder if there will be a ‘MT’ transmission option alongside the shiftless ‘AT’ option for all other BEVs currently in Gran Turismo 7.
At the same event last year, the parent company launched the Genesis Vision Gran Turismo concept, which soon after arrived in-game.
Meanwhile, the Ioniq 5 N has been previewed elsewhere, believed to be one of Assetto Corsa EVO’s initial roster.
“We are pleased to release the IONIQ 5 N to Gran Turismo 7,” said Gran Turismo Series Producer, Kazunori Yamauchi.
“We look forward to future collaborations between Gran Turismo and Hyundai in the Esports sector.”
