  • Forza Horizon 6 will run at 4K/30fps in Quality mode and dynamic 4K/60fps in Performance mode
  • Xbox Series S version will run at 1440p/30fps in Quality mode and 1080p/60fps in Performance mode
  • New accessibility options include proximity radar and high contrast mode

With less than two weeks until the launch of the Premium Edition, Forza Horizon 6 has officially gone gold. This means the game is being pressed onto discs and prepared for digital distribution.

Coinciding with the announcement, Playground Games has confirmed the graphics and performance modes available on Xbox.

Forza Horizon 6 will feature Quality and Performance modes on Xbox Series X|S, allowing players to prioritise graphics or framerate.

On Xbox Series X, Quality mode will run at a native 4K resolution capped at 30fps to prioritise visual fidelity. Performance mode, on the other hand, will switch to a dynamic resolution targeting 4K while maintaining 60fps.

To compensate for its less powerful hardware, the Xbox Series S version will run at a lower 1440p resolution at 30fps with Quality mode. Switching to Performance mode will reduce the resolution to 1080p but increase the framerate to 60fps, with both options dynamically scaling the resolution to maintain the target framerate.

Presumably, the PlayStation 5 version will have similar graphics and performance options to the Xbox Series X game when it arrives later this year, with additional enhancements for the PS5 Pro.

In addition, Forza Horizon 6 will feature several new accessibility options. These include a proximity radar that helps identify cars in your blind spots, which should be useful in cockpit, bonnet and bumper cameras, along with an auto drive option.

The HUD’s position can also be adjusted, while a new high contrast mode makes it easier to distinguish important objects.

A post-launch update will also enable American Sign Language and British Sign Language, with an on-screen interpreter appearing during cinematics.

Other returning accessibility options will include screen reading narration, adjustable field-of-view options and colour-blind filters.

Featuring over 550 cars at launch, Forza Horizon 6 launches on 19th May for PC and Xbox Series X|S, with early access starting on 15th May for those who pre-order the Premium Edition. A PS5 version is set to launch later this year following the successful port of Forza Horizon 5.
