If you’re currently playing Forza Horizon 4, the recent Season 32 update may have piqued your interest. But that’s not all that has been revealed for the two-and-a-bit-year-old open-world driving game, as it’s set to get a new batch of Hot Wheels content.
Cutting to the chase, the Hot Wheels Legends DLC ‘premium car park’ pack will cost $10/£7.99/€9.99, consists of six brand new cars and is releasing ‘soon’ on PC and Xbox consoles.
The vehicles are based upon a real-life Hot Wheels competition, the Legends Tour, where customer ideas are judged. These have then been replicated in FH4.
To be clear though, this pack is outside of any previous Deluxe and Ultimate Edition purchases – although with the game being out for so long already, perhaps this is the dawn of a new string of paid additions?
Secondly, this isn’t like the previous Lego Speed Champions add-on for Forza Horizon 4 or the Hot Wheels expansion for Forza Horizon 3, both of which featured themed levels and challenges. Hot Wheels Legends is the new rides alone.
Still, we’re sure there’s plenty of fun to be had with these new additions, which can be used throughout the game. The six inventions, mainly based on standard road-going vehicles in some form, are:
- Ford F-5 Dually
- Chevrolet LUV
- International Harvester
- Studebaker Dream Roadster
- Nash Metropolitan
- 2JetZ
All additions have a fully rendered interior too, and unlike previous Hot Wheels additions, all but the Nash have clear views ahead for those who like to use the cockpit camera – namely our own Justin Sutton.
