London’s unique Formula E venue is headed to rFactor 2 as paid DLC. With the launch, the official simulator of the electric single-seater world championship will release its seventh circuit from the series.
Joining the likes of the Berlin E-Prix, Diriyah E-Prix, Hong Kong E-Prix, Monaco E-Prix, New York E-Prix and Rome E-Prix venues, the London E-Prix is held at the world’s first track in top-level international motorsport to run both inside and outside.
The ExCeL event space in the capital of England was first used in 2021, mixing tight hairpins, narrow confines and a mix of lighting conditions.
The virtual replication first debuted during the Formula E: Accelerate esports competition in July, won by Autosport Esports Driver of the Year 2021 and 2022 nominee Frede Rasmussen.
The 2021/22 Season 8 Formula E liveries and Gen2 car are already available for rFactor 2, with pricing and release dates for the London E-Prix location, Bahrain International Circuit, Croft Circuit, Thruxton and the BMW 330i BTCC and Vanwall Vandervell LMH are yet to be announced. All will be available this month, however.
