The second-hand, or returned, items will be checked and tested at the Fanatec base, before being resold on its website with a two-year warranty and after-sales support. A new item will receive a three-year warranty by comparison, following a recent change.

Example items include the 5Nm CSL DD wheel base – new it lists for €349.95, while a refurbished example is currently for sale at €297.95. That’s a €52 saving, although the cheaper item is equipped with the older QR1 quick release system.
Perhaps a more tempting saving is €150 off the ClubSport DD+ 15Nm (PC and PlayStation compatible) base – €849.95 plays €999.95 new.
At the time of opening, 49 products are listed for sale as part of the initiative, even down to a table clamp for a shifter.
According to the German manufacturer, now part of the American Corsair operation, “most arrive with virtually no cosmetic flaws.”
