Simucube has launched a pre-owned initiative, offering sim racers the ability to purchase used equipment with the peace of mind usually only associated with a brand-new product.
According to the Finnish equipment manufacturer, each pre-owned device is checked, tested and refurbished before being sold as used with a two-year manufacturer warranty. There’s also a 30-day returns policy.
Each used item will be available for sale directly on Simucube’s website with “minor signs of use.”
So far, the potential savings are significant. For example, a ‘Quality Standard 1’ Simucube ActivePedal Pro is currently listed at €1342.92, compared to the new item at €2508.75.
With Simucube commanding a sizeable premium, with the stated aim of being at the vanguard of the sim racing equipment, there is greater scope for a used market than, say, for more affordable entry-level items.
