Fanatec announces Podium Steering Wheel Fanatec GT World Challenge bundle

If you’ve been following along with the Fanatec Esports GT Pro Series this season, you may have noticed all of the sim rigs that have been used by the competitors. Being sponsored by Fanatec, the majority of the equipment was provided by Fanatec, and that of course included the steering wheel components.

That particular wheel in use can now be yours to own via the Fanatec website. The Podium Steering Wheel Fanatec GT World Challenge bundle is the same wheel used by the professionals in the series this season. Utilizing the new ClubSport Wheel Rim 320 (in either leather or Alcantara), the wheel combines the Podium Advanced Paddle Module, the Podium Button Module Endurance and the Podium Hub to make this bundle complete.

With the button module as a part of the wheel, this bundle is only compatible for PC players and will work with five bases, including the:

  • CSL DD
  • ClubSport Wheel Base V2.5
  • PODIUM Wheel Base DD1
  • PODIUM Wheel Base DD2
  • PODIUM Racing Wheel F1 PS4

The bundle costs $629.95, which saves just about $80 as each piece separately would add up to $709.80. Separately, the new ClubSport Wheel Rim 320 clocks in at $129.95, the paddle module at $179.95, the button module at $199.95 and the Hub is also listed for $199.95.

If that is more than is needed, the new Wheel Rim 320 will also work with the new ClubSport Universal Hub V2, either the basic one or the one specifically works with Xbox. These bundles are not yet available yet, but are open for preorder. They will run at $399.95 for the Xbox version and $379.95 for the basic.

Honestly, as a Fanatec owner myself, this wheel looks fantastic. If I had the money to spend, I’d likely get the one with the Alcantara wheel material, having used that with my Formula V2.5 rim and enjoyed it greatly.

Do you think these new bundles are worth the steeper price, or would you rather save up for something more cost effective? Let us know what your thoughts are on these new wheel bundles from Fanatec in the comments below!
