Earlier this month, Euro Truck Simulator 2 developer SCS Software released an intriguing video showing a Scania bus in motion.
Over the weekend, the Czech developer confirmed that this was indeed a prospective new game mode for the popular trucking sim, allowing players to get behind the wheel of coaches.
Codenamed ‘Project Coaches’, the new mode takes advantage of the many bus stops and terminals SCS has added to ETS 2’s expansive game world over the years, presumably letting players play the role of a bus driver with a tight schedule.
The exact details on how the new mode works in-game are yet to be revealed, but SCS has offered hints that it may not be the last new idea to come in ETS 2, especially as its American Truck Simulator title has already announced drivable cars and pickup trucks.
Thankfully, a dedicated team will be in charge of bringing the new game mode to life, allowing the main SCS squad to continue developing new expansions, such as the forthcoming Iceland DLC.
