New Volvo bus previewed for Euro Truck Simulator 2

The momentum behind Euro Truck Simulator 2’s Coaches mode is gathering pace, as SCS Software revealed another new bus for players to explore and drive.

Set to deliver a different game mechanic, where players are tasked with picking up and dropping off passengers at set bus stops littered throughout ETS 2’s enormous in-game map, Coaches’ release date has yet to be revealed.

However, the Czech studio confirmed the presence of another licensed coach for the new mode: the Volvo 9700 Double Decker.

Joining the already announced Scania Touring and MAN Lion’s Coach, the Volvo, as its name suggests, is a two-tier bus powered by an enormous 13-litre engine. Despite this, the 9700 delivers up to a 9% improvement in economy, with 460 bhp and 500 bhp motors available.

Designed for up to 96 passengers, the in-game Volvo will feature customisable seat and curtain colours and plenty of modern driver assists, including electronic stability control and emergency braking.
