The pinnacle of RaceRoom’s sim racing competitions returns, as it hosts the official DTM Esports championship.
Germany’s most popular closed-roof motorsport championship, the DTM has a long-standing relationship with the free-to-enter simulation platform, where drivers can purchase licenced cars and tracks.
RaceRoom also runs and hosts the DTM Esports competition, which apes the real-world series by using the same vehicles and venues.
Qualifying started last year, which was open to anyone with access to the PC title, via an open leaderboard and then a series of Shoot Out races.
Now, the 31 best drivers from that process will compete for the title across six rounds – each broadcast live not only on RaceRoom’s channels, but also the main DTM online outlets. Additional coverage will also be on the DTM’s website.
Last season was won by Falken SimRacing Team driver Tim Jarschel driving a Porsche 911 – the same team, car and driver combo will return for this season, joined by Lucas Müller and Leonard Krippner.

Other notable entries include multiple eWTCR champion Bence Bánki, Florian Hasse and 2021 ADAC GT Masters GT4 Esports Champion Emre Cihan. Perennial RaceRoom race-winner Gianmarco Fiduci will be driving a Ferrari 296 as a privateer entry, while another independent driver, Isaac Price, will be the sole McLaren 720S.
Romain Grosjean’s eponymous squad, R8G Esports, will field four BMW M4s, one of which will be driven by Gran Turismo World Series finalist Kaj de Bruin.
The series champion will pick up a real-world GT4 test, while the runner up will receive KW suspension parts and third, an Ascher sim racing wheel – a total prize pool made up of cash and non-cash prizes worth €50,000 will be awarded.

Alongside the main competition, there will be a Community Cup for those who didn’t make the qualifying cut, using classic DTM content.
