2022 iRacing Season 1 Global Mazda MX-5 Fanatec Cup – Week 9 at Summit Point Jefferson | Dave Cam

Week 9 of the Global Mazda MX-5 Fanatec Cup, part of the 2022 iRacing Season 1, visits the Jefferson Circuit layout of the Summit Point Motorsports Park.

Your guide for this week’s racing is none other than Dave Cam, and we can think of no one better to explain each millimetre of this venue.

But, far from just a track guide, as ever, this is a racing guide, as Dave also highlights the key overtaking areas and places to watch out for potential carnage.

Hidden away in West Virginia, there are several track layouts at Summit Point, and even three separate circuits on the one landmass – reminiscent of Willow Spings, if only in infrastructure, mind.

The Jefferson option is a small circuit next door to the main loop and has three variants in the real world – Jefferson, Jefferson Long and Jefferson Extended. This week, we’ll be racing the shorted, at just 1.1 miles.

Despite its diminutive size, it’s very tricky and for racing, will no doubt create havoc.

As always, Dave’s collection of track guides and other Traxion content can be viewed over on the website. If you’ve picked up your lap time, leave a like to let us know. Make sure you’re subscribed and you have notifications on for the next Dave Cam content on the channel, as well as all of the other fun stuff we’ll be sharing. Until then, keep it pinned.
