Daniel Ricciardo will now be within the official F1 23 driving game following his recent re-addition to the real-world grid.
The popular Australian driver was drafted into the AlphaTauri race seat in July for the Hungarian Grand Prix scoring a 13th-place finish. He will be used in lieu of Dutch driver Nyck de Vries, who was unceremoniously dropped midway into his debut season.
The former Formula 2 and Formula E champion is in F1 23 at present, but Ricciardo will now be in the Faenza-based squad’s car alongside Yuki Tsunoda from 29th August 2023 – as previewed by a customary video of the eight-time race winner enjoying a session on the game.
Ricciardo has previously been part of EA SPORTS’ promotion for the titles, including a video series for F1 2021.
As to additional features to go with the new driver, the full changelog is not yet known, although there are some Podium Pass issues at present and ranked online track limits are expected to be tightened at some stage. It follows a special graffiti-inspired livery for the Alfa Romeo launching today, 22nd August.
