Complete Need for Speed Unbound car list

Need for Speed Unbound has just been unveiled today (6th October 2022) and has already set the internet ablaze with speculation and reactions to the official trailer.

With a diverse range of cars to buy, modify and race – from a simple Volvo 242 DL all the way up to a Bugatti Chiron Sport – there’s something for everyone.

Perhaps inspired by the Fast & Furious movie franchise, Need for Speed Unbound pays reverence to JDM classics such as the Nissan Silvia, Honda S2000 and Mitsubishi Eclipse. But there’s also plenty of V8 American muscle to have fun with, including classics like the ’69 Ford Mustang BOSS 302, ’69 Dodge Charger R/T and the modern-day Chevrolet Corvette Stingray.

Notable by its absence, however, is any mention of Toyota. It will feel very strange to play an underground street racing game without the noisy presence of the Supra’s V6 twin-turbo 2JZ, so hopefully this is addressed ahead of the game’s release.

Update – 8th October

In our ‘Every car in the Need for Speed Unbound Official Reveal Trailer’ article, we also speculated on the appearance of the Lotus Emira in-game. Was it an oversight by EA to include it in the trailer, or will it appear on launch day or part of a DLC pack?

Well, since EA’s initial car list reveal, it has now gone back and added:

  • Lotus Emira 2021

It seems this was an oversight, and Hethel’s final internal combustion sports car will indeed be part of the Unbound roster.
