Euro Truck Simulator 2 players will soon be able to get behind the wheel of coaches, if SCS Software’s recent blog post is anything to go by.

The Czech studio has already teased the inclusion of drivable cars and small trucks to its American Truck Simulator title, so although buses seem like a slightly incongruous addition, there is at least a strong precedent.

If you think about it, it’s not such a crazy idea given how enormous modern coaches are, so they should drive similarly to ETS 2’s load luggers, and the game’s picturesque (and enormous) maps make it the perfect platform for transporting virtual sightseers across Europe.

Quite how SCS intend to ‘gameify’ this concept is unclear, but the Czech studio already has licence deals with many of Europe’s top coach manufacturers, including Volvo, MAN and Scania, so it feels like a natural step to include the full gamut of their commercial vehicle range.

Perhaps this could be the beginning of a more diverse ETS 2 experience in future: a taxi mode would potentially work well too, for example.

Regardless, without more concrete information, all we can do is speculate on ETS 2’s future content additions, so stay tuned for more information. It’s only fare…
