It was announced on Tuesday (3rd May) that Ferrari’s own Charles Leclerc will be the Formula 1 ambassador for the upcoming video game, F1 22 by EA Sports and Codemasters. EA also released a trailer for the game portraying the upcoming Miami Grand Prix at the brand new Miami International Autodrome.
The Standard edition of the upcoming game will be sold physically and digitally, and will feature more drivers other than Leclerc on the game pack. Leclerc will be front and center, but he’ll also be surrounded by two other up-and-coming Formula 1 stars, McLaren’s Lando Norris and Mercedes new driver for 2022, George Russell.

As for the Champions Edition, which will be sold digitally, EA looks to be honoring the current champions still competing on the 2022 grid. Of course, Red Bull’s Max Verstappen is the most-front driver, as the most recent champion. His Mercedes rival and the seven-time champion himself, Lewis Hamilton stands just off center, right over Verstappen’s shoulder.
On either side of the pair, the two-time champion driving for Alpine in 2022, Fernando Alonso and the four-time Aston Martin driver Sebastian Vettel stand representing the champions left in the 20-driver field.
In the trailer, you can see the new track that the real stars will get to traverse this upcoming weekend. Built around the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. The circuit features 19 corners and will be 3.363-miles (5.412-kilometers) in length.
