A new NASCAR PC and console game is set for a 2025 release under the stewardship of iRacing, following the sale of NASCAR Team Properties’ gaming license by Motorsport Games.
The publisher’s CEO Dmitry Kozko has hinted that an older NASCAR Heat title may receive 2022-season DLC alongside Heat Mobile, NASCAR 21: Ignition and a new Switch game.
The follow-up to 2021’s NASCAR HEAT: Ultimate Edition+ is under development at present, but broadcaster NBC has shared an early sneak-peak at its sequel.
The decision to release a 2022 season DLC pack coming for the current season and NASCAR 21: Ignition has allowed the Motorsport Games development team to focus on a new game for 2023.
There will be no new home console or PC NASCAR game in 2022. NASCAR 21: Ignition will receive a 2022 season expansion, a new Switch game will follow and NASCAR 23 will be the next console release based upon new technology.
NASCAR Heat Ultimate Edition+ is a new game to the Nintendo Switch family.
