Handy with a Hoover? Super with a chamois? Creative with a clay bar? Incubator Studio has the game just for you! The Polish developer has released their new title Car Detailing Simulator: Prologue. The game lets you buy and restore a range of dilapidated iconic vehicles to showroom condition, using real-life detailing techniques and tools. Originally released as a demo, this is the next step towards a full release for a title that’s gained many fans already.

Car Detailing Simulator

Although the cars in-game are not licensed, it’s clear to see some of the models take inspiration from automotive legends manufactured by Jaguar, Mercedes and Ferrari, among others – I’m sure any car fan will be able to spot the resemblances! And like many games of its ilk, Car Detailing Simulator will appeal to a generation of gamers attracted to the relaxing nature of titles like Euro Truck Simulator, Gas Station Simulator and My Summer Car. Not only do you take care of cleaning car interior and exteriors, but as a neat little minigame you can also search inside the car for hidden collectibles like lighters, money and even car keys, which intriguingly lead to more detailing opportunities…

Should I be power washing car seats? Probably not…

The goal of the game is to buy a car in poor condition, restore it to prime condition, then sell it for profit to help upgrade your detailing business and upgrade your workshop tools. It’s an interesting idea that will surely find an audience in the racing game community, and if you’re like me and enjoy the detailing aspect of car ownership, you might even pick up some tips to use on your own car!

Car Detailing Simulator: Prologue is available to try for free on Steam right now ahead of a full release.
