Behind the scenes of Dakar Desert Rally's development | Traxion.GG Podcast S5 E4

Paulo Gomes, Studio and Game Director at Saber Porto is joining us today. It’s developing the upcoming racing game and simulation Dakar Desert Rally, and we had a chat at the Gamescom show recently.

Hopefully, you’ll be able to gather Paulo’s passion and dedication for this project, a brand new officially licenced title for the real-world Dakar rally raid.

Set in an open-world Saudi Arabian environment, it mixes five vehicle categories – truck, car, motorcycle, quad bike and SSV – plus the past three seasons of competitors within Sport, Professional and Simulation modes.

The game launches on 4th October for PC, PlayStation and Xbox and we’ll hopefully have a full review and final verdict soon. For now, though, let’s hear more about its genesis.
