As we reported on last week, the 1971 edition of the Nürburgring, complete with the historic layouts of the Nordschleife, Südschleife and Gesamtstrecke, has officially been released as a part of the existing Nürburgring DLC pack on Automobilista 2.
Since Saturday, this version of the track has been available as a release candidate where anyone with the DLC could test out the circuit. This 1971 version of the Green Hell will be a part of Automobilista 2‘s Nürburgring Pack, which is already out there for $9.99 or is included in the 2020-2022 Season Pass.
Back in 1971, the Nordschleife had 160 turns and was 22.835-kilometers, or 14.189 miles in length, just a touch longer than the version that exists today. As for the Südschleife, which was eventually abandoned, that course back in 1971 was much smaller in comparison, only 7.747-kilometers, or 4.814-miles in length with 27 corners.
Alongside the release is a new version of the title by Reiza Studios—Automobilista V1.4.7—and with that comes other general updates and fixes. Check out the full changelog reposted below!
