Reiza Studios, developer of comprehensive motorsport sim Automobilista 2, has revealed it has sold 200,000 copies of the game during the 2025 Steam Summer Sale.
That almost unbelievable figure is thanks in part to its heavily discounted price, with the game available for just £3.49 / $3.99 up until 6 PM BST today.
Thanks to its official tie-in with the North American IMSA series, AMS 2 features a plethora of GT3, LMP2 and Hypercar content, including many of the tracks used by the series.
Although not all of these are available as default content, AMS 2 still features plenty of GT, open wheel and historic racing machines to satisfy most tastes, with the game’s incredible VR capabilities also proving to be a major selling point.

AMS 2 is currently gearing up for the release of its Endurance Pack Pt3, which is set to feature the debut of Aston Martin in the sim. Notably, unless Le Mans Ultimate beats it to the punch, this will represent the first time the Aston Martin Valkyrie LMH Hypercar is publicly available in a high-profile sim (notwithstanding LMU’s recent preview of the car at the 24 Hours of Le Mans).

Despite the impressive recent sales figures, a cursory glance at AMS 2’s performance on Steam indicates that the game has struggled to hit 3,000 peak concurrent players in recent days, which may be a concern.
