It has been confirmed by Digital Bros that the next Assetto Corsa simulation, EVO, will launch in January 2025.
Remaining as an early access launch for PC, initially, the Italian parent company of the game’s publisher issued the news in its FY2023-2024 financial results.
“Release of the PC version of Assetto Corsa EVO officially announced in early access on Steam for January 2025,” the company stated.
The upcoming title is pivotal, both for developers Kunos Simulazioni as it appears to retrace the series’ roots by including road cars, and Digital Bros. In the past financial year, the Assetto Corsa series was the highest revenue generator for the Milanese outfit, earning €28 million.
While the delay to January specifically was not expected, at least publicly, it perhaps isn’t a surprise.
“I don’t know. Maybe, maybe. We will try,” said Kunos co-founder and Executive Manager Marco Massarutto to Traxion in July.
“We are not going to sacrifice the quality over the quantity or to [meet] any date.”
Following the initial reveal of the sim racing title in June, apart from some teaser images of cars and tracks, little else is known.
It will support VR from launch, as it uses a custom game engine, and features licenced road and track vehicles. It is also expected to be released on current-generation consoles.
UPDATE – Assetto Corsa EVO will be formally unveiled in video form, on Monday 30th September 2024.

Good to hear. Forza sacrificed quality and to meet deadline to milk money out of customers. Glad to know they won’t.
My thoughts exactly!
Hi Thomas. Thanks for the news. If you can communicate with Kunos in any way, it would be great to know if they plan to use OpenXR 1.1 as the VR run time and if they plan to use quad view foveated rendering. Thanks!
No worries – now is not the best time, but when the opportunity arises, I will add that to the list!
Can’t wait for it😍
