The PC version of Assetto Corsa Competizione enjoyed its v1.8 update way back in November 2021. The update introduced a heavily revised tyre model, the BMW M4 GT3 and a new CinemaHUD photo mode to the popular GT3 sim.
The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of ACC were released in February this year but featured the game’s v1.7 build. Developer Kunos Simulazioni promised the v1.8 update in due course, followed by the release of the content-heavy Challengers Pack DLC.
Today (31st May 2022), publisher 505 Games has revealed in a blog post that they aim to bring v1.8 to console by September this year, with DLC following in November. The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One version of ACC will not receive the v1.8 update at all, as development has ended for previous generation consoles.
The v1.8 update is being brought to console by the Italian development team Untold, whose other porting projects include titles like Control and Journey to the Savage Planet.
