Danish sim racing hardware manufacturer Asetek Simsports has announced it will release a range of Xbox-compatible sim racing products in the second half of 2025.

Through the ‘Designed for Xbox’ partnership, Asetek will deliver hardware; presumably wheelbases, steering wheels and pedals, to Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S consoles.

The deal, which was teased last month, will also see a select range of existing Asetek products become Xbox-compatible, but the exact details of this are yet to be announced.

“When I launched Asetek SimSports a little more than two years ago, it was my mission to provide the most authentic racing experience possible to as many people as possible”, stated André Eriksen, Chief Executive Officer at Asetek.

“Making our products console compatible through the Designed for Xbox collaboration is a huge step towards realising that ambition. As a racer myself, all of my passion and experience goes into every one of our products, and I am delighted that Xbox users around the world will now be able to enjoy their outstanding performance,” he concluded.

Although most, if not all, Xbox racing games can be played on PC, there’s no doubt Asetek’s move towards console compatibility will open up a huge new market for the ambitious hardware business.

The news comes a month after Asetek announced its flagship Invicta Formula Steering Wheel, which uses Formula 1-grade materials to justify its $1,300 cost.
