Asetek Simsports’ three-tiered lineup of sim racing equipment has gained a flagship steering wheel: the Invicta Steering Wheel.
Sitting above its entry-level (La Prima) and mid-range (La Forte) lines, the Invicta series had yet to receive its own steering wheel. But this is now to set to change, with the Invicta providing a premium feel thanks to its carbon fibre faceplate, aluminium buttons and an expansive 4.3-inch touchscreen.
A common feature of Asetek products is customisabilty, and the Invicta Formula wheel is no different in this regard. Grips, paddle shifters, faceplate material and button colours can all be customised, with a total of 36 inputs offering sim racers more than enough mapping options.
Made from a solid piece of CNC-milled aluminium, the Invicta features three chunky aluminium rotary encoders, two ‘kinky’ switches, 10 face buttons, two switches and six thumbwheels.
On the reverse, there are six analogue paddles – which can be customised in terms of material and number – with two buttons within index finger reach, as recommended by Asetek ambassador and Formula 1 driver Kevin Magnussen.
