Following the launch of the hydraulic Invicta and load cell Forte sim racing pedals earlier this year, Asetek SimSports has launched a new separate variant of each set.

The S Series pedals by the Danish upstart – who has a long-established reputation in PC internals before branching out into sim racing peripherals – feature a separate throttle and brake pedal.

With the standard editions, both were affixed to a base plate, but the S Series allows drivers to mount the two pedals where they prefer, either closer or further apart. The threshold for the separation is 100mm.

The new versions are still compatible with the optional throttle footrest, designed for endurance sim racing. Whether combined or separate, the existing Invicta clutch pedal remains separate – €209/$209 ex. VAT – and works with both versions.

An upcoming, cheaper, La Prima clutch pedal is set to join the Invicta unit will soon.

  • Asetek SimSports Invicta S Series Hydraulic Brake and Throttle – €719/$719 ex. VAT

In comparison, the Forte S Series is €20/$20 more than the combined set and the Invicta S Series is €6/$6 more. The existing models combined onto one base plate will continue to be offered. A new entry-level La Prima pedal set will not be available as an S Series model.

A key feature of the S Series is the ability to mount each pedal inverted too, something not possible with the connected units.

The news follows the launch of not one, but three new direct driver wheel bases, and a range of bundles and steering wheels.
