A new competition is set for launch for those looking for a simulation open-wheel championship.

The Alpha World Series will use VRC Formula Alpha 24 mod for Assetto Corsa on the Simracing.GP platform.

22 drivers will take to the virtual grids later this year for 50 per cent (compared to real-world events) race-distance rounds, with a mandatory pitstop.

Custom livery designs will be allowed across a six-track calendar (schedule to be confirmed).

A unique qualifying phase will determine the grid. Open to all with the car (there’s a 15 per cent discount for those who register) a series of races will be held across seven days.

Budding participants can take part in as many as they desire, with the aim of setting (one of) the quickest total race times.

The qualification heats begin 20th September 2024.
