Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, Sega’s new kart racer and the first new Sonic Racing game in over five years, launches with 24 tracks, with more to be added in DLC. But there’s a twist.
On top of the standard tracks, Travel Rings seamlessly transport you to new locations mid-race. This happens on the second lap, with the lead driver choosing the location, before returning you to the original circuit for the final lap. CrossWorlds range from a dinosaur-filled jungle to a shipwreck and magma planet.
Standard tracks, meanwhile, see the return of fan-favourite locations such as Metal Harbor from Sonic Adventure 2, alongside locations from newer Sonic games like Frontiers and Superstars.

In the single-player campaign, races are split into Grand Prixs, initially containing six cups. Each cup has three races, culminating in a final race that combines the first three tracks. Completing the first six cups unlocks an additional Egg Cup, followed by a Secret Cup.
