TrackDayR has evolved into an off-road motorcycle sim in recent months, thanks to the addition of a plethora of motocross and supercross bikes and tracks (as well as outlandish tuk-tuk and sidecar vehicles).
However, now Italian developer MadCow has taken the Early Access sim back to its roots by releasing a new road bike-themed update, with three new motorcycles available for players to get to grips with: the Y600R, Y1000R and H1000R.
The Y600R is a supersport-style bike, featuring a 600cc engine. Generally, these road bikes lack top-end grunt (comparatively, naturally) but make up for it with superior handling.
The Y1000R adds the missing power from the Y600R, plus the extra weight of a 1000cc, four-cylinder engine. Both of these bikes are based on modern real-world sports, so have features like traction control and ABS to help save the day,
The H1000R is an older-style 1000cc superbike, however, with zero rider aids for a more visceral riding experience.
TrackDayR’s latest build also allows players to adjust the individual volumes of its audio output, so if you find the wind noise overpowering you can turn it down or completely remove it.
Netcode has been enhanced too, with a new engine inertia simulation helping replicate transmission and powerplant functionality more realistically.
