First showcased last year, REG Simulations’ debut driving title is now available, with PISTA Motorsport hitting PC early access.
While limited in its scope now, the diminutive development team aims to use sales of a low-cost work-in-progress build as a springboard to a more complete game.
As it stands, the simulator of Argentinian motorsport includes eight cars representing to region’s racing scene, from front-wheel drive hatchbacks to a Formula 3-aping single-seater. The Procar 4000 series is the pinnacle for now.
You can drive these vehicles around four licenced real-world venues, all in the South American nation.
Further cars and circuits are expected later as a free update. Racing against AI-powered opponents is not currently possible, with quick race, championship mode and online multiplayer still being developed.
As it stands, a solo test day and time attack with a leaderboard are available with virtual reality support.
The outfit originally started by creating mods, both touring car style and karting, for Assetto Corsa. Pista Motorsport is its first foray into a dedicated platform.
Published by Studio 56, the simulation is available from today, 28th August 2024, for $14.99/£12.79
