Cross-platform online multiplayer, or cross-play, is a feature that brings more players together and helps keep lobby numbers topped up for longer.
But, how each game supports it varies, and in the case of The Crew Motorfest, there are some quirks as it’s not available in every online game mode nor has the ability to invite across devices. Here’s everything you need to know.
Does The Crew Motorfest have cross-platform or cross-play multiplayer?
Yes, The Crew Motorfest can be played cross-platform or via cross-play for online multiplayer. It supports the following devices:
PC – Via Ubisoft Store/Ubisoft Connect/Epic Games Store (not Steam)
PlayStation 4
PlayStation 5
Xbox One
Xbox Series X|S
Can you play online co-op in The Crew Motorfest?
Yes, The Crew Motorfest supports online co-op for up to four players and across all of the main campaign, including free-roam and playlist events.
This also goes for the asynchronous leaderboard challenges within the Main Arena Live Summit mode.
The Crew Motorfest Grand Race –
You can switch on or off the cross-platform functionality, and with it on during an event, the platform that a player has entered is displayed on the ranking and in their username above their vehicle. If someone is in an event with you on a different platform, the Ubisoft ‘swirl’ logo is used as an icon.
You cannot invite across platforms, however, as it stands. So yes, you will enter lobbies against other players on different devices, but you cannot fire up a ‘Ubisoft friends list’, for example, to invite set friends.
