MotoGP 22 game update adds Red Bull Rookies Cup

It’s been a minute since the most recent MotoGP 22 update, but now a fourth category of motorcycle Grand Prix racing has been added to the game alongside further tweaks.

The Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup sits below the existing Moto3 category as an entry-level series. That means it’s the slowest of the MotoGP classes, featuring a KTM RC 250 R bike and 25 riders. It’s now a tradition that this is added post-release, arriving in May for MotoGP 21 last season.

One of the new features for this year’s game was improved 3D scans of the top-class riders, and now Italian competitors Luca Marini and Enea Bastianini have updated faces.

Back in early May, the top MotoGP class was updated with this season’s bikes, and now the Moto3 class follows suit. Finally, the performance of your rivals at the start of a race is said to be more intelligent.

In terms of big features still to be added, it remains to be seen if the electric MotoE category will be arriving soon and if the Moto2 category’s liveries will match the 2022 season. The full patch notes are below, let us know in the comments if you’ll be trying out the new Rookies Cup.
