At last! Something for the Forza Horizon 5 drift kings out there. Were you getting bored of constantly running DRIFT MOUNTAIN in a Toyota Trueno and feeling unrepresented? Well, this month is specifically dedicated just for you lot, with the arrival of Drift Club Mexico.
The car rewards for earning the season’s stars are the Honda NSX-R GT 2005 for 80 points, and the Ford #2 GT40 1966 for 160 points.
Unfortunately for this series, the Treasure Hunt challenges aren’t arriving until the third season, but this week still contains a good challenge to complete.
The cars available to unlock within the Summer Wet Season are the Ascari KZ1R 2012 for 20 points, and the Jaguar C-X75 2010 for 40 points.
A new story – Drift Club Mexico
Introduced to this season is a brand-new Horizon Story named Drift Club Mexico. These stories are a great way to introduce and unravel the Horizon Festival story, with some incredible rewards on offer. The first challenge is incredibly easy, simply drifting down the drag strip, but things soon escalate
For this week, completing 18 stars within the Horizon Story will earn you a Ford Mach-E 1400 – which is new to the game. You don’t want to miss this one.
HOW TO COMPLETE THE #CIRCLEOFLIFE PHOTO CHALLENGE
This week’s Forza Horizon 5 photo challenge requires you to Jump into the Porsche Cayman GT4 2016 at the Farid Rueda Lion Mural in Playa Azul.
If you have yet to unlock this car, it is available to buy from the Autoshow for 110,000 CR. The mural can be found within Playa Azul, directly to the north of the Goliath race start point.
Simply drive up to the mural, open the camera app by using up on the D-pad and tap A to snap the picture to gain the rewards.
Upon completion, the Farid Rueda’s Lion Relax T-shirt reward is yours. You can wear this by visiting your home, and selecting Customise Character in the My Festival tab.
HOW TO COMPLETE THE COLOR FESTIVAL COLLECTIBLES CHALLENGE
It’s collectables time! The Forza Horizon 5 task for this week is to smash 25 Paint Barrels, with a Doodle Pattern Face Mask as the reward.
These paint barrels can be found along the Horizon Festival Mexico Drag Strip, so all you’ll have to do is take any car and smash into them as fast as you’d like.
SERIES 6 WET SEASON #FORZATHON SHOP HIGHLIGHTS
This week’s rewards available within Series 6’s Wet season are two cars, an outfit, and a car horn, alongside the always available Wheelspins.
Both cars within the shop aren’t available to buy from the Autoshow, so now would be the best time to grab them without wasting your wheelspins. The available items from the Forzathon Shop this week are:
- McLaren F1 1993 – 700 FP
- Builder’s Outfit – 75 FP
- Pinball Machine Car Horn – 75 FP
- Hyundai Veloster N 2019 – 500 FP
- 1x Super Wheelspin – 150 FP
- 1x Horizon Wheelspin – 60 FP
#FORZATHON WEEKLY CHALLENGE RISE TO THE CHALLENGE
Let’s get straight into the action with the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 2018 Muscle car.
This week requires you to win two Drag Races, one while the car is in A class with its stock setup and the other in S1 class with a tune and finishing it off with a photo.
This week’s Car Pass addition
For those who have the premium, paid for, Car Pass season pass, the rather quaint, and front-wheel driver, Oldsmobile Toronado from 1966 is now yours.
