Since Gran Turismo 7‘s launch on 4th March 2022, the Bronze Rain Royalty Trophy has not been obtainable. Thanks to the Version 1.06 update today (10th March 2022) this is now no longer broken. Here’s how to collect that sweet, sweet, virtual reward.

How to obtain the Rain Royalty Trophy in Gran Turismo 7

There isn’t a specific rain-only licence in Gran Turismo 7, confusingly. But there are licence tests that are set in the rain. There are four in total and completing these to a Bronze level will unlock the Rain Royalty Trophy.

These are:

  • National A – A-5 – Cornering in the Wet: Beginner
  • International B – IB-6 – Cornering in the Wet: Immediate
  • International A – IA-7 – Cornering in the Wet: Expert
  • Super Licence – S-10 – One Lap Time Attack

Simply playing through the game, certain races will require a licence to enter, so most of these you will tick off trying to progress.

If you happen to earn a Gold-rated result on these licence tests, it will also count towards the ‘Hard Work Pays Off’ Gold Trophy – although you must also achieve Gold on every other test and not just the ones in the rain.

How to obtain the Rain Royalty Trophy if you’ve already completed all licence tests

Due to the bugged nature of this Trophy from day one, there will be many players who have completed all licence tests, yet not being able to receive the Rain Royalty accolade. However, simply re-entering one of the licence tests set in wet conditions once again will trigger the Trophy pop.

You don’t need to achieve a Gold rating once more, or even Bronze. Simply enter the event, start driving and either finish the challenge or fail by driving off the track. Either way, once finished, the Trophy will be yours.

Once again, the Licence Tests you can complete for a second time to unlock the Trophy are

  • National A – A-5 – Cornering in the Wet: Beginner
  • International B – IB-6 – Cornering in the Wet: Immediate
  • International A – IA-7 – Cornering in the Wet: Expert
  • Super Licence – S-10 – One Lap Time Attack

We recommend the National A, A-5, test as you’ll be complete in less than 34 seconds.

With the fixing of this Trophy in the Version 1.06 update, those on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 can now work towards the Platinum Trophy. Let us know in the comments below if you’ve unlocked it.
