Forza Horizon 6’s first premium expansion will arrive on 21st January 2027, eight months after the game’s initial release.

Playground Games has confirmed the expansion will launch on PC, Xbox Series X|S and PS5 on the same day, coinciding with the game’s delayed launch on Sony’s platform.

Forza Horizon 6’s first expansion will introduce a new location, additional vehicles and “fun new gameplay to engage with,” but further details have yet to be confirmed.

It will be included with the Premium Edition, Premium Upgrade and Expansions Bundle at no extra cost, or available to purchase separately when it launches.

Traditionally, the Forza Horizon games receive two paid post-launch expansions. This will also be the case for the latest entry, but the release window for Forza Horizon 6’s second expansion remains unknown.

Forza Horizon 5’s first expansion was based on the Hot Wheels IP, featuring a new map with the high-altitude stunt tracks and 10 cars. Launched in July 2022, it also arrived eight months after the main game.

This was followed by the Rally Adventure expansion eight months later in March 2023. If Forza Horizon 6 follows the same release cadence, the second expansion could arrive around June 2027.

The expansion release date announcement comes alongside confirmation that the PS5 version has been pushed back until 26th January 2027 after it was originally slated for later this year. Those who pre-order the Premium Edition will get up to five days of early access.
