Once an Xbox and PC exclusive, Forza Horizon 5 made its way onto PlayStation 5 in 2025. It’s been a considerable success for Sony and Microsoft, reportedly selling over five million units in less than a year. With that in mind, is Forza Horizon 6 coming to PS5 too?
Forza Horizon 6 was officially announced at the Tokyo Game Show in September 2025, confirming that the open-world racer will be set in Japan, one of the most frequently requested locations.
Playground Games says players will “discover a scenic and breathtaking Japan” and ”build up your racing status to become a Legend at the Horizon Festival,” with confirmed locations including Tokyo and Mount Fuji.
While a release date is unconfirmed, Forza Horizon 6 will launch first on PC and Xbox Series X|S in 2026. It will also be included on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass at launch.
Playground Games confirm Forza Horizon 6 will come to PS5 “later this year”
PlayStation players will have to wait longer for the open-world racer, but the good news is that Forza Horizon 6 is coming to PS5. It’s a matter of when, not if.
During Microsoft’s Xbox Developer_Direct Show, Playground Games confirmed that Forza Horizon 6 will launch on PC and Xbox Series X|S on 19th May, with a PS5 release set to follow later in 2026.
