2022 edition of the Wrecking Madness Tournament now live on Wreckfest

The latest tournament for Wreckfest by Bugbear Entertainment and THQ Nordic is another round of Wrecking Madness, now live on all platforms as of yesterday (5th July 2022).

Returning to the Wrecking Playground for the season challenge, wreckers will be tasked with causing maximum carnage in order to score as many points as possible.

This season’s tournament, Tournament 2022 Season 21, is scheduled to take place in July and August. As always, there will be daily challenges that will swap out, and those will include other race and demo derby events on other venues in the game.

There will also be a weekly challenge, and this week’s will involve collecting Wrecker Coins as fast as possible. This one is pretty straight forward, as it takes you up and down the dangerous drag strip avoiding obstacles to collect the currency.

As for the seasonal, the Wrecker Coins provide damage multipliers as you destroy yourself in the multiple wrecking mechanisms throughout the playground.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a Wrecking Madness tourney on the platform. When the Wrecking Playground was introduced last year, it came in the 2021 edition of the Wrecking Madness tournament.

The rewards added this time around aren’t that much. For those who own the Warwagon, there is a new “Warrior” bundle containing upgrades and livery options.

This was arguably one of the favorite tournaments last year, so get to racking up that fame over the next two months as you smash, crash, and destroy your way to the top of the leaderboards. The tournament is also available for Nintendo Switch players, by the way!
