Just two weeks after the 6 Hours of the Glen, iRacers find themselves looking forward to another Special Event: the 24 Hours of Spa.
The twice-around-the-clock race is designed for teams of between two and 16 drivers and GT3 cars, with fireworks guaranteed thanks to 60-strong grids.

What is iRacing’s 24 Hours of Spa Special Event?
The 24 Hours of Spa Special Event is a one-off iRacing race taking place on Spa-Francorchamps’ Endurance layout.
Using GT3 cars, the race loosely mimics the real-world 24 Hours of Spa, widely regarded as the best GT3-only race in the world.
When is iRacing’s 24 Hours of Spa Special Event?
- Timeslot #1 – Friday 22:00 GMT
- Timeslot #2 – Saturday 7:00 GMT
- Timeslot #3 – Saturday 12:00 GMT
- Timeslot #4 – Saturday 16:00 GMT
- Registration will open 60 minutes prior to the event.
iRacing’s 24 Hours of Spa Special Event car classes

The iRacing 24 Hours of Spa Special Event will feature GT3 cars at the legendary Belgian venue.
The mandated GT3 category consists of modern-day sports cars (don’t expect to see any McLaren MP4-12Cs here!) as used in the GT World Challenge and IMSA’s GTD class, with a custom Balance of Performance calculation released ahead of the event. This can be viewed below:
iRacing 24 Hours of Spa Special Event entry requirements
To race in the iRacing 24 Hours of Spa Special Event, all drivers must have a valid iRacing subscription, at least a D Road License at 4.0 or above, own the Spa-Francorchamps track and have at least one of the eligible cars.

- D Road License 4.0
- Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps – Endurance – $14.95
- One of the eligible GT3 cars – $11.95 each
How to enter the iRacing 24 Hours of Spa Special Event

The iRacing 24 Hours of Spa Special Event will appear in the iRacing UI under the ‘Official’ section and can be joined by clicking on the ‘Register’ button, once a suitable race time has been selected.

Currently, there is a 0% chance of rain for the iRacing 24 Hours of Spa Special Event, with a high chance of consistently overcast conditions.
Although iRacing Special Events have a habit of being completely dry, at the very least this mirrors the conditions experienced by drivers in the real-world event, where Spa was completely untouched by precipitation.

The iRacing 24 Hours of Spa Special Event’s top split will be broadcast live on iRacing’s YouTube channel.

Key session information
Positions for the rolling start will be decided by a 15-minute (four-lap) qualifying session, with splits determined by iRating. Grids can consist of up to 60 cars, with 100 incidents allowed before stop-and-go penalties are dished out, dropping to 20 for repeat offenders.
There is no DQ limit.
