Wreckreation adds 4 new cars and snappable high-rise buildings

A long-requested feature, Wreckreation players can now build downtown areas with 36 snappable high-rise buildings.

Wreckreation adds 4 new cars and high-rise buildings to Live Mix

Wreckreation’s first update of 2026 is here, bringing with it four new cars, new LiveMix objects and improved drift physics.

Free for all players, the open-world racer’s fourth content update adds four new cars to the roster, with a mix of vehicle types including a boxy American SUV, a stock car racer and a sleek European coupe: the Huntsville Marbella, Toretti Delosa, Mccarver Vagabond and Hooper Powerslave. These will automatically unlock when reaching the required Licence Points by completing events.

Each vehicle also has a Wreckoning event, where you can unlock an upgraded version by taking it down, bringing the vehicle roster to 68.

The highlight, however, is arguably the addition of high-rise LiveMix buildings, one of the community’s most requested features.

When Wreckreation launched last October, the open world was barren, lacking urban areas. This was one of the main criticisms in our review.

With the update, however, players can create downtown areas by adding up to 36 high-rise buildings in Live Mix. To access them, you’ll need to find the seven new Live Mix collectables located around the map.

On top of that, Three Fields Entertainment has also tweaked the drift physics. While drifting, holding the brake will reduce your car’s speed, making it easier to hold a slide around tight corners.

With the diminutive team facing redundancies and no longer supported by publisher THQ Nordic, the studio launched a Patreon last December to help fund future updates. Since then, the campaign has grown to over 500 supporters.

As part of the update, members who joined the Patreon before 29th December can download an exclusive early supporters livery for the Maclean Aurora, which sports a flame design inspired by the classic hot rod in the Burnout games.

All Patreon members will also receive another free livery inspired by Burnout 2’s distinctive green Custom Coupe if it reaches over 1,000 members.
