F1 2021 Preview

The 2021 Formula 1 season has a lot to look forward to. Based on the pre-season testing results, there’s a chance Mercedes has some serious competition from Red Bull, meanwhile, the ‘midfield’ squads looked to have closed the gap to the front two teams.

As ever though, testing is one thing, racing is quite another, and most likely we won’t have a clear read on the form until a few races in.

Still, that didn’t stop me from having a few guesses as I discuss what we have in store for the new F1 season which now starts in Bahrain on 28h March 2021.

I decided to take part in a 25 per cent length race within the F1 2020 game, driving in Daniel Ricciardo’s Renault around the Albert Park venue. You see, this weekend is when the 2021 season should have kicked off, but the Australian race has been delayed due to the pandemic until November.

So, on the weekend we should be watching the first round of a closely contested F1 championship, you can watch me trying to be a pundit while racing in the F1 game instead. Alternatively, you could go watch the latest season of Drive to Survive on Netflix instead. Upon reflection, watch my video first, then watch Drive to Survive. Do that, and you’ll be on the F1 hype train.

Full disclosure: This video was recorded before pre-season testing had been completed.
