Showcase events are a staple of the Forza Horizon series of games. If you’re remembering a specific moment from a Horizon game, there’s a good chance it’s from a showcase event. Often criticized, these scripted races have even been targeted by memes.
Despite the often silly nature of these events, we still look back on them fondly, because there are too few modern racing games that offer this level of ridiculousness. If you’re looking for a modern racing title that will allow you to jump a moving train, well I’m sorry to say the list is quite short.
