WATCH: Rally driver Louise Cook’s rally sim set-up is immense

British rally driver Louise Cook hasn’t let the various impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic be a setback. Instead, she’s built an impressive sim ring that includes D-BOX motion.

In this latest video, you can see the real-world WRC 3, PWRC and BRC competitor trying out the official WRC game – and the results are impressive. In fact, the time is 21st in the world at the time of uploading. In other words, rapid.

The set-up includes triples monitors, a powerful PC with a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090, a rally-focussed wheel rim and then the full suite of D-BOX motion – in this instance utilising the FIA licensed D-BOX G3 Haptic System.

It’s slightly different to clamping your trusty Logitech Driving Force G29 to a desk…

Sit back, relax, and watch five minutes of WRC sim-rallying excellence across the high-speed Finnish stage of Ouninpohja in the Toyota Yaris.
