The last of our current Assetto Corsa Competizione track guides takes us to Oulton Park in Cheshire.
Anyone who has driven Oulton competitively will know just how much of a challenge it is. I guess you say it’s like the Rainbow Road of British motorsport. I don’t just say that because of the difficulty, more so the elevation changes and undulation.
You will not get straight on the pace here, no matter how well you know it. Every corner takes time to master on ACC, but as with many other venues, it is very much worth it when you do finally get where you want to be pace-wise.
I have always used Oulton Park over the years in racing games as the track to try out a new car. It really tests every layer of your driving ability with a mixture of high-speed commitment corners, positive and negative camber, technical chicanes and heavy braking zones. Oulton can be frustrating at the best of times, but it always puts a smile on your face.
When learning the circuit for the first time, try and use these lap times as targets to aim for:
- Pro : 1:31.60
- Pro/Am : 1:35.00
- Am : 1:40.00
- My Laptime : 1:32.20
Good luck and have fun! Let us know in the comments if you have found these track guides helpful and keep an eye on both Traxion.GG and our YouTube channel for more ACC content in the future.
